A Spring Wedding at Dedham Vale Vineyard
I started my morning with Madeleine, her sister Charlotte and her Mum getting ready for the day ahead at the serene Sun Inn in Dedham. After a nice relaxed morning, there soon followed a mad rush at the ahead (as per usual!) as Madeleine got into the dress ready to head off to marry Jim in Colchester.
There was not a dry eye around from the moment of the ceremony. Jim (known to be a crier – I should add!) had been welling up all morning, and just the sight of Madeleine heading down the aisle with her dad was enough to set him (and everyone else!) off. Even Madeleine couldn’t hold it together. But I did make for some really lovely photos and funny memories too!
After the ceremony (and probably the most epic confetti I’ve witnessed to date!) Jim set out to drive his new wife to Dedham Vale Vineyard in the hired Triumph car. Only, he flooded in the engine and it just.wouldn’t.start! Lots of people jumped in trying to getting it going before there was only one solution… to push and get the engine rolling that way! Luckily with a quick shove down the highstreet the car finally woke up and off they went with tin cans trailing behind the whole way.
Back at Dedham Vale the sun finally peeked out, their marquee had been decked out with flowers by Penny Jane flowers, and styled in line with the places they had travelled together in the past. I whisked them off quickly around the lake for their couple photos before returning ready for their speeches (again with many tears!).
